Kangkong in Sweet Soysauce

This vegetarian dish consist of shrimps, tofu, and kangkong (ton choy). A perfect vegetarian dish that will surely satisfy your taste buds! Who says vegetarian dishes are plain? This will definitely prove that wrong! This recipe has lots of yummy flavours you are looking for in a no-meat dish! UMAMI for the win!

Ingredients & Measurements
1 bunch of Kangkong (Ton Choy) cut
Cooked and Peeled Shrimps
1 block of Tofu (chopped and fried)
OYSTER SAUCE CAN BE USED INSTEAD OF SWEET SOY SAUCE FOR EASIER AND FASTER WAY!
For the sauce:
1/4 cup Soy Sauce
3 tbsp sugar (or more while cooking)
1 tsp pepper
2 tsp Garlic Powder
While cooking:
1 tsp of pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 cup water
2 tbsp cornstarch (dissolve in 2 tbsp Water)
1 tbsp Sugar (optional)
Method:
Prepare the sauce by mixing soy sauce, sugar, pepper, garlic powder, mix and set aside.
In a hot pan with oil, add onions and cook for about a minute
Add fried and chopped tofu and add 1 tsp of salt and saute for about a minute.
Add peeled and cooked shrimp and saute again
Put everything on one side, then add the prepared sauce
Add dissolved cornstarch and thicken the sauce before mixing everything together
Add pepper, garlic powder, water (sugar- depending on sweetness level)
Mix and let the sauce thicken, and then add the Kangkong
Let it boil for 5 mins or until kangkong is cooked
